Last night in the midst of nothing to do… I made a new washcloth! I got the pattern: here!

This is my second attempt at a washcloth… and I have to say that it turned out much better than my first! It was the right size and the pattern is super cute! I used Sugar & Cream yarn on this one as well!

First Washcloth

So as much as I am starting to love to knit… I am not very committed when it comes to finishing a long project! I sorta needed to find something that was quick to make… but that also had several variations so I wouldn’t get bored… and I found washcloths!

I used Sugar & Cream yarn, 100% cotton, because I have found that on most of the sites that is what others suggest! I found the best website ever in the mean time… Knitting Pattern Central!

So here is my first attempt… it was WAY to huge so I folded it over and made it a bath mitt type of thing! I did it using the Roman Stitch… which was a super easy one to begin with! Hope you like it!

Oh YARN!

So… is it just me or is there something kinda pretty about yarn?!

I’ve been trying to practice my knit and pearl skills… which are still kinda shaky. For Christmas I am planning on making lots of fun stuff… and knitted items is going to be part of several of them… hopefully! This is one thing I am aiming for… just for me because I think its GREAT! Scarf-Hat

So anyway… here is what I have so far…. which looks better than anything I’ve made before! I will give myself a tiny pat on the back… please don’t roll your eyes when you see it… I know its nothing to brag about! ;o)

Knitting in Summer

So… of course since its in the heat of summer… I am ready for fall again! I am never EVER ready for the season that is here! So since I am in the mindset of October-December I have decided to go ahead and start knitting!

I was planning on learning how to do the pearl stitch yesterday… but I don’t quite have it yet… so I have just been doing the standard knit stitch! Thats when I remembered that I bought a video last year to help me learn how to knit… and it was amazing! It made everything so simple and easy to understand… so I decided to whip it back out to learn the new styles!

I plan on working on that until I figure it out so that I can make prettier things than just a long plain scarf! I included a picture of the video… incase anyone was interested in learning the same way! I bought it at AC Moore, (which by the way.. that store has a HUGE selection of yarn)… I think it was like $8.00 ish!
