A BounceU Halloween

November 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Bounce U had a special Halloween night… and I got to come up with some crafts and make them with the kids! We made SLIME and some cute flower pots to put a candle in decorated in all Halloweeny!

I got the slime idea from familyfun.go.com which is an awesome site for craft ideas! Click on the link and make the slime for yourself! The kids LOVED it!

Step 1: Mix glue and warm water.

Step 2: Add in food coloring and mix it all up.

Step 3: Mix borax and warm water in another bowl.

Step 4: Pour the mixture from step 3 into step 1. And BAM you have slime! :)

And… I finished it!

September 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment

The napkin holder that I started a couple of days ago is all finished! I got a wood plaque for the clips to attach to and made the napkins! Now I feel a little bit better about being environmentally friendly! I still have a long ways to go though!

I forgot to mention that me and Jeremy also bought some reusable shopping bags! We’re going to try to always use those and never have to take home plastic bags! :)

So we had a Craft Day instead of a Craft night like usual today…. and we did the perler bead craft! I made my final coasters like I said I would… and they turned out pretty cute! I still have to get the cork for the bottoms but the design is finished! :o )

My friends made some stuff to… and Millicent made a post-it note holder! She made the squares to look like little robot heads… the square you can see the best is winking at us…take a look!

Last night me and my friend Britton had a mini-craft night… and we made some baby booties! I have to say that they came out awesome for a first try! The green ones are the ones I made and the yellow ones are hers! Later on this week we are going to make some onesies to match… so be on the lookout!

I found these instructions and pattern on Cut Out and Keep!

And… I forgot to mention… they are reversible! Here is one more super cute picture of Brittons pin cushion… decorated by Millicent and Kathy! :o )

Making VESTs on Craft Night

August 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

So for this craft night my friend Britton found a really cool pattern for a vest! I was having trouble figuring out how to use patterns correctly… so it was REALLY fun figuring it out! All the pictures taken on this are from Britton… so thanks so her for taking them and letting me post them on here!

I just thought this picture was awesome! Britton has this way amazing camera that I can only hope I will own one day~

This is in the process of being done… it still needs buttons… and of course a picture of it on so you can see it better! I like it so far though! :o )

Cocoa Bath Powder

July 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

YUM… is all I can say!

This little mixture of cocoa, cinnamon, dry milk, marshmallows and vanilla is wonderful! All you do is mix it… then enjoy by shaking some into a hot bath! How perfect?! You will simply be relaxing in a huge cup of hot chocolate!

This idea was also from Millicent since she hosted the 2nd Craft Night… and she says that the marshmallows make your skin soft which is a bonus… so enjoy!

Cupcake Candles

July 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This project was one of two that we made on our 2nd CRAFT NIGHT!

This was also something that Millicent came up with…. they were so easy to make and SUPER fun! Also since our craft nights are sort of aiming towards making Christmas gifts… one of us ( I don’t remember who?!) said that we should put it in a bakery box and give a set of 6 or 12! As if they were actual cupcakes!

These actually look like they might be good enough to eat! :o )

My little Crafty Luau & the Craftastrophe

June 30, 2008 · Leave a Comment

So me and my friends have decided to have a craft night once a month to make Christmas gifts, or just to make some fun crafts together! I hosted our first one at my house and decided to make it a little luau just for fun!

We made Altoid Tin wallets from the craft project on: Altoids Tin Wallet

Mine was no doubt a CRAFTASTROPHE which was what my friend decided to call it! She said I should turn it into something that would be considered to be CRAFTASTIC but I’m not sure mine is repairable… it sorta broke the tin! I am planning on making another one though… the correct way this time! It was a fun craft night regardless!

Fruit Dip Recipe:

I also wanted to share a quick recipe that I found for a fruit dip! All you do is mix a jar of marshmallow cream, a thing of cream cheese and some cherry juice from a jar of cherries! I also chopped up some of the cherries to mix in it as well… but really that step is optional! It was soo yummy with the fruit skewers!
