Waffle Stitch Washcloth

This is my second attempt at a washcloth… and I have to say that it turned out much better than my first! It was the right size and the pattern is super cute! I used Sugar & Cream yarn on this one as well!

Baxter’s Little Trunk

This is actually not a “trunk” in any way… but I needed something cute to put Baxter’s many clothes in! Baxter is my little weenie dog…. and I know some people think it might be a little silly to put clothes on dogs… but he is to adorable with them on!

Anyway… I was starting to misplace some of his clothes because they were scattered all about… so I bought a little Tupperware-type box (I don’t know what they’re actually called)… just for him!

I didn’t want to just put his name on it… because really… how CREATIVE would that be?! So I decided to make a little profile of a daschund! I am not the best artist… so the drawing is a little rough… but its cute enough for me! I used regular acrylic craft paints then sprayed a top coat of triple thick gloss glaze to keep it shiny!

National Cheesecake Day

Yep… it is! So EAT SOME… and think of me while you eat it! )

Great News!

I got a new camera… and have a couple of pictures from my beach vacation! The camera broke to early in the trip to get to many good ones!

Me and Jeremy went on a Murder Mystery Dinner Cruise to celebrate our 2 year anniversary! It was super fun… a really unique idea and different way to spend time together…the pictures of us are from that night!

We also made an awesome Shell Candle while I was there… but I don’t have pictures to post of it yet… I used my aunts camera to take them… so they are on the way! )

Broken Camera

So… my camera got lots of sand in it… and is now BROKEN! I am so sad… but am planning on replacing it this week!

I am also going to Myrtle beach for the 1st week of August… so I don’t know how much I will be posting until then… when life FINALLY gets back to normal!

Before I go can I just say…. normal life is sometimes a little more thrilling than vacations… geez… I’m sleepy!

Beachin’ It

I’ll be at the beach from tomorrow morning until the 27th… I’ll have pictures and hopefully lots of fun crafts when I return! Leave me some lovin’… )

First Washcloth

So as much as I am starting to love to knit… I am not very committed when it comes to finishing a long project! I sorta needed to find something that was quick to make… but that also had several variations so I wouldn’t get bored… and I found washcloths!

I used Sugar & Cream yarn, 100% cotton, because I have found that on most of the sites that is what others suggest! I found the best website ever in the mean time… Knitting Pattern Central!

So here is my first attempt… it was WAY to huge so I folded it over and made it a bath mitt type of thing! I did it using the Roman Stitch… which was a super easy one to begin with! Hope you like it!

International Juggling Day

Today is… International Juggling Day! Yay!

So I tried to make some little bean bags to juggle with! I think I am going to give them to Jeremy for a gift! If any of you make some let me know… and share your ideas! I would LOVE to hear them!

Birthday Card

So my Mom’s birthday is coming up and I haven’t quite figured out what to get her yet… and I will be giving it to her at the beach next week! Since I didn’t know yet… I figured I would make her a sweet little card to see if I got inspired about anything else….which didn’t work… but I embroidered it! It came out pretty cute!

Oh YARN!

So… is it just me or is there something kinda pretty about yarn?!

I’ve been trying to practice my knit and pearl skills… which are still kinda shaky. For Christmas I am planning on making lots of fun stuff… and knitted items is going to be part of several of them… hopefully! This is one thing I am aiming for… just for me because I think its GREAT! Scarf-Hat

So anyway… here is what I have so far…. which looks better than anything I’ve made before! I will give myself a tiny pat on the back… please don’t roll your eyes when you see it… I know its nothing to brag about! ;o)
